Extension Plastering Project in Dorset: Float & Set Technique

Measure Twice Construction recently completed the plastering stage of a house extension project in Dorset using the traditional float and set plastering technique to create strong, solid internal walls.

Unlike modern plasterboard systems, float and set plastering involves applying backing coats directly onto blockwork before finishing with a smooth skim coat. This method creates a more durable, solid feel and delivers a high-quality finish built to last.
